GNR 0-6-2T CLASS N2 LOCO "1763"
 

Although the black livery which was applied to this loco by the LNER and later BR, reflected the workmanlike character of the locomotive., it was the colour scheme of the GNR which was the most distinctive, as superbly illustrated by the Hornby model. The paint has been delicately applied which the printing is of extremely of high level of excellence. Powered by a 5 pole motor.

LMR 0-6-0, CLASS J94
 

During the second World War there was a need by the War Department for a six wheel locomotive. Three hundred a seventy seven Class J94's were eventually produced for the department with the first Austerity Class entering War service in 1943. The distinctive, lined, blue livery of Hornby model (adapted from the Royal Engineering colour) with cab interior detail depicts the LMR (Longmoor Military Railway) Austerity in all its post War glory,. Powered by a type 7 motor the model has also sprung buffers.

GNR 0-6-0 ST CLASS J13 LOCO "1241"
 

The J13's were built in the 1890's and most of them continued in operation for 60 years before being withdrawn and eventually scrapped. The Hornby model reproduces, as near as possible, the complicated livery and the handrails network of the prototype, Blackened wheels and con-rods complete this superb model. The model is powered by a Type 7 motor mounted on an SSPP chassis.

LMS 4-6-2 "DUTCHESS OF GLOUCESTER" CORONATION CLASS
 

Designed by Sir William StainerFRS, the streamlined "Dutchess of Gloucester" was put to traffic in May 1938, the first og the class to carry the LMS Crimson lake livery. This stunning Hornby correct scale model is outshopped in the period and incorporates an abundance detail including sprung buffers, interior glazed cab detail and scale  wheels. A five pole motor situated in the Locomotive. An alternative front Bogie with smaller 9 spoke wheels is included to allow the Locomotive to be used on layouts which have curves with less than a 19" radious.

LNER 4-6-2 'MALLARD, CLASS A4
 

Built in June 1926  number 4097 "kenilworth Castle" was one of the first batch of Castles produced by GWR at their Swindon works. The locomotive saw many years of service before withdrawn in May 1960. The model has a ringfield motor in the Loco body, which in turn carries the Livery of the late 1920's, early 1930's period.

GWR 2-8-0 CLASS 2800 LOCOMOTIVE  "2821"
 

With its eight wheel drive traction the Churchward designed 2800 of 1903 was perfect for heavy and long distance freight haulage. The model had a realistic, glowing firebox feature as well as a smoke generator. The locomotive incorporates multi wheel pick-ups for smooth running at low speeds, especially over points, while the metal handrails and fine detail wheels are produced in blackened finish. A new model ringfield motor is enclosed in the tender.

BR 4-6-0 CLASS B17/4 LOCO 61652 DARLINGTON
 

One of the Gresley's classic designs carrying the name of Darlington Football Club. The livery of this class B17/4 is of the early 50's period and it is worthy of note that the first numeral of the running number, 6 indicates that the locomotive was formerly part of the old  LNER fleet. The model is powered by a ringfield motor with the livery applied to extremely high standard.

LMS 4-4-0 CLASS 2P LOCOMOTIVE "579"
 

The Class 2P was a light duty passenger locomotive of unspectacular performance but very economical to maintain, due to its robust, simple construction and relatively undemanding workload. Introduced in 1928, the last of the 2P's served until 1962. It is presented here in the LMS livery of the 'thirties' (yellow numbers replacing the earlier gold). Ringfield motor in the tender.

CORAS IOMPAIR EIREANN 0-4-0 T

Spiritely character for those layouts demanding a little imagination and colour. The actual prototype that sparked the inspiration for this model was designed and built as a prototype for the GWR at the beginning of the Century. Produced as an oil burner the locomotive was eventually converted to coal in 1905. Motor type HP
