BR-0-4-OST "PUG"

A BR version of the little LMS 'Pug'. These Pugs had a wheelbase of only 5ft 9in, which made them ideal for areas with tight curves, such as dockside and industrial workings. Livery is BR's unlined freight black, as from 1949. Type 7 motor.

Length 85mm.                            Code: R2093 C

BR 0-4-0ST 'SMOKEY JOE', CLASS 0F

This class 0F with its unofficial name is one of the many which were inherited from the old Caledonian Railway and ran well into the BR period. Model's Type HP motor in a heavy diecast chassis gives it the weight to pull respectable loads with minimum wheel slip.

BR 0-6-0 TERRIER, CLASS OP x three running numbers

Designed by William Stroudley, the Terriers were built between 1872 and 1880. No. 70 later to become 32670 in BR days, was originally called 'Poplar' and went to traffic in December 1872. When obtained by BR, No. 32670 along with the other remaining Terriers, was classified as OP (Other Passenger) and by the time the locomotive was withdrawn it had travelled more than 1,000,000 miles.

BR 2-6-2T PRAIRIE, CLASS 61XX x two running numbers

The origins of the 61XX go back to the early 1900's with the class showing the influence of Churchward, however the finished design is credited to C B Collet. The length of the locomotive was 41ft and weighed

78 tons 9 cwt, with a tractive effort of 23,000Ibs.

The class was so reliable that many continued their working life well into BR days, as shown on the

above model. Model is powered by a Type 7 motor. Length 163mm.                               Code: R2213 B

BR 0-6-2T, CLASS N2 69546 running number

A post grouping development by Gresley, the Class N2 had a power classification of 3P. The solid body was fitted with a most distinctive condenser system which was a particular feature of this locomotive. The BR liveried Hornby model reflects the style and innate power of these passenger locomotives, which spent most of their working lives from the 1920's through to the final days of steam pulling commuter trains in Scotland as well as to and from Eastern London stations. Powered by a 5 pole motor.

Length 152mm.                      Code: R2178 A

BR 0-6-0T, CLASS J83 x three running numbers

An N.B. Holmes designed locomotive. The class was built at the turn of the century and proved an invaluable contributor to station pilot duties as well as local passenger services before and after Nationalisation. The class had a traffic classification of 2F. Fitted with an SSPP chassis and a Type 7 motor.

Length 124mm

BR 2-10-0, CLASS 9F WEATHERED EDITION

With the Class being mainly used for freight duties,

it was more likely to see a 9F not all sparkling and clean but steam marked and dirt covered. The

above model captures the workmanlike appearance

of the prototype and would certainly look in keeping on any steam layout of the period. Includes sprung buffers and powered by a ringfield motor located in the tender.

Length 274mm.                          Code: R2200
